Grace Without Boundaries

Petite Pas is so excited to introduce our newest division of music and movement classes, Grace Without Boundaries! (GWB) These classes are designed to meet the needs of dancers in our community with all abilities and special needs. This class will focus on musicality, strengthening, coordination, and social skills. Dance is so beneficial for every body, and we could all use a little grace!

Each class is 1.5 hours, led by an experienced teacher and assistant. If your student has a personal aide they are welcome to attend together! Please note that this is not dance therapy, and is not HSA eligible.

All GWB classes are designed for ages 5+.

Grace Without Boundaries for Cognitive & Emotional Needs

This class is designed for dancers with cognitive disabilities such as ASD, ADHD, SPD, Down Syndrome, etc. There will be a strong focus on social skills and sensory regulation in this class, as well as stretching, strengthening, movement, and musicality. The 1.5 hour class will allow for us to take our time transitioning through activities, and giving each dancer personalized attention and support. This would also allow caregivers to step out to run errands or even sit down at a local coffee shop! You are of course welcome to stay during class if you wish, we have a lobby where you can make yourself comfortable.

Each week these dancers will participate in:

  • Greetings and circle time

  • Stretching and Yoga

  • Traveling exercises

  • Creative movement games

Ms. Hannah

Hannah has been teaching with Petite Pas for the past 4 years, and is excited to begin the Grace Without Boundaries program! Prior to being a dance teacher, Hannah spent 10 years volunteering for the PA Center for Adapted Sports, where she taught skiing to athletes of all ages and abilities. After graduating from the Center for Performing and Fine Arts, Hannah began working at a local elementary school as a Personal Care Assistant for a child with CP, while also working with many of the other students in special and general ed programs. She worked there for just over two years before transitioning to her dream job of teaching dance at Petite Pas. Hannah is so excited to bring these two worlds together through Grace Without Boundaries! Other interests of Hannah’s include cooking and baking, performing in musicals, and any time spent outside. Above all else, dancing is Hannah’s greatest joy, and she is so excited to share that with as many people as possible!
